Potzberg Castle and Nature Park - 20 minutes from the KMC
Heidleberg - 45 minutes to 1 hour
Park in P11 or P12 and that will put you right at the base of the castle. The walkplatz is right there too!

Homburg Flea Market - 15 minutes 1st Saturday of the month from May to October - head on A6 direction Saarbruken. Exit at Homburg and turn left. Follow the road straight for about 2 miles or so and you will see the Floh Markt!
Metz, France - 45 min to 1 hr. http://www.mairie-metz.fr:8080/GB/intro.html Follow A6 Direction Saarbruken. Exit at Metz and follow the signs for the Town Centre. This is a beautiful city and they have a gorgeous Cathedral, opera house, and other great churches. There is also a flea market there on some Saturdays....not sure...help anyone? There is an indoor mall there also. We always park close to the cathedral so we can use that as a focus point to find our car. There are pictures of our Metz trips on the "Area Photos" page.
Broadway Kino - located in Landstuhl They show movies in English!
Hitscherhof - 45 min This is a really neat place to go during the fall. They have a corn maze for the kids and vendors selling their wares. Check website for more information and dates!
Kinderspiel - in K-town http://www.kinderspielundspassfabrik.de/ This is a cool place to take the kids to play! Check out the website for more info!
Azur Pool - Ramstein Village Indoor/outdoor, sauna's, hot tubs, lap pools, wading pools, kiddie pools, waterslides, diving platforms, playground, volleyball, basketball, snack bar. This is a great facility!

Rothenburg ob der Tauber - 2 hours from the KMC
Auto Tecknic Museum - about 45 minutes to Sinsheim (never been to Speyer) There are two - Located in Speyer and Sinsheim http://www.technik-museum.de/uk/sinsheim/index.html Great museuem with all kinds of stuff. They even have neat BIG slides!!! Check out the site.
Legoland - not sure how long...we took a bus trip there! http://www.lego.com/eng/legoland/default.asp This was a nice little park. We took our 9 and 11 year old and we all had fun too, but it is great for younger kids. They do have a few big rides and roller coasters. Nice day trip!
Cochem Castle - 1½ hours http://www.burg-cochem.de/e_frame.html This is a great castle located right on the River Mosel! See pictures in "Area Photos"

Go skiing indoors! 2½ hours from the KMC This is an awesome place with 4 ski slopes, a sledding slope, snowboard trick area, 6 man ski lift, restaurant, and sports shop! Open from 1 May to 30 September/9am to 11pm
