German Mischler & Raudonat Fruit Distillery Schnapps Brennerei in Albersbach (Reichenbach-Steegan) http://www.mischler-raudonat.de/ Phone: 06385-5906 The Best German Spread - In my opinion! Dinner Buffet €13 - Children under 12 (I think) free Schnapps Probe €3 for 5 shots, €6 for 10 shots You must have at least 10 people for your party and you must make a reservation. They also will do a tour and tell you how they make the schnapps. Waring: The schnapps is very potent, I like the liquours better! MMMM....... It is located on the main road in Albersbach. Once you enter the village, go down and it is on the right, just before the road narrows. (It is in between two bus stops, so if you get to a second bus stop, turn around!)
Alt Landstuhl Located in Landstuhl, Schutzenstrasse 12 Telephone: 06371-3003. Hours: Open evenings only, beginning at 6 PM. Restday: Monday (Montag Ruhetag). Good German and international fare. The restaurant has an antique-country motif and is renown for its Chateaubriand for Two. This is so good! Directions: The Alt Landstuhl is located at Schutzenstrasse 12 near the German klinik. From the Landstuhl cemetery on B40, follow the Red Cross signs--Alt Landstuhl on the right, if you go over the overpass (railroad tracks) you've gone too far.
Turm Hotel Auf dem Potzberg 3 66887 Fockelberg Tel: 06385-720 The food is generally fair but must try the authentic dish which is a meat plate of deer meat, rabbit meat, "type of bird" meat and lamb, served with mushroom sauce, croquettes, potato balls and pears. I was skeptical at first but after trying it, it was delicious! This plate is good for 4, for about 35Euro. Great dinner idea to celebrate bday or anniversary. An old castle with very medieval atmosphere.

Italian ILCappricio's Located in Ramstein Village, Am Neuen Markt 4 Phone: 06371-51090 Restday: Mittwoch/Wednesday. Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday: 1100-1400; 1700-2300; Saturday: 1700-2300. It is best to call for reservations, but you can walk in also. They do take credit cards. Great food in a very cordial, friendly, family, Italian atmosphere. Il Capriccio's specials of the day are particularly good as are their other pasta dishes and pizza. Directions: From Ramstein AB, proceed into Ramstein village via Kindsbacherstraße to Landstuhlerstraße to the village centre (near the Rathaus). Il Capriccio is in the same buildingwith the Haus des Bürgers.
LA GRAPPA RISTORANTE Located in Kindsbach, Kaiserstrasse 58 Telephone: 06371-912922 Hours: 1130-1400, 1700-2300; Saturday: 1730-2300. Restday: Tuesday. Excellent Italian food, additionally, LaGrappa has a large selection of menu items-from pasta, to salads, to meat dishes &ldots; all very tasty. The dining room in the front of the restaurant is small but inviting. LaGrappa also has a large banquet room in the rear of the building which is perfect for an office luncheon (seats about 50-60 people). Directions. Kindsbach is the village between Einsiedlerhof and Landstuhl on B-40. From either direction, Einsiedlerhof or Landstuhl, drive to the center of Kindsbach, LaGrappa is on the main street (B-40) next to Pension Schuff. Parking is available in front of the restaurant.
TAORMINA - RESTORANTE PIZZERIA Located in Landstuhl, Kaiserstrasse 1 (now it is located across the street from the old location, I don't know the address) Telephone: 06371-3236. Restday: Tuesday (Dienstag Ruhetage). Hours: M-F 1100-1400, 1700-2300; Sat-Sun 1100-2400. Excellent Italian food, reasonably priced. The pizza, garganzolla, pasta dishes, and spaghetti are all good choices. For dessert the Tirami Su (a chocolate cake/tort) is sinful but wonderful. Taormina is a family-operated restaurant and has a large American military clientele. Directions: From Ramstein (West Gate) follow the signs to Landstuhl, at the stoplight (B40) turn left and go (past the Esso Stations) to the next stoplight, Taormina's is on the left at the stoplight
CANTINA MEXICANA Located in Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof Kaiserstrasse 117 Tel. (0631) 99328. Hours: 1100-2300. Cantina Mexicana is a family-friendly, stateside-style Mexican restaurant and their Mexican fare is excellent and so is their service. They have daily specials, great salsa, and they have Green Chilis! They accepts US dollars, Euro, or Credit Card Directions: From Vogelweh go west in the direction of Landstuhl on B-40 (Kaisersstrasse) to KL-Einsiedlerhof. It is across the street from the Warrior Preparation Center (WPC) building on B-40, the Cantina Mexicana is on the south side of the highway.
HACIENDA MEXICAN RESTAURANT Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof Weilerbacher Strasse 110 (just a short distance from the KL-Einsiedlerhof exit on A-6) - located above the House of Clocks on the road in between Ramstein AB and Vogelweh. Telephone: 0631-56986. Hours: Monday-Friday 1100-1400, 1700-2300; Saturday-Sunday 1200-2300. They have good Mexican food and great wings! I think Monday night they have a wing special. Directions: From A-6, exit at KL-Einsiedlerhof and go in the direction of Einsiedlerhof, restaurant is on the right (second floor). From Ramstein AB, exit the base via the east gate, go over the A-6 autobahn in the direction of Einsiedlerhof, restaurant is on the right.
Southern Cooking Mama West Location: Jahnstr. 2 in Ramstein Village (2nd street to left off Landstuhlerstr, behind Shell) 06371-614-049 Hours of operation: Tue-Fri 11:00-14:30 Tue-Thu 17:30-22:00 Fri 17:30-23:00 Sat 16:00-23:00 Sun 15:00-21:00 Close every Mondays I tell you the food is over the top, I had roasted chicken, bake mac and cheese, potato salad, and my meal was served with corn bread...yummmm! The plate was really big, the atmosphere is soo friendly and Mama cooks everything fresh, the price was soo cheap.
