DoDDS
Schools - (Department of Defense) These schools are all located
on base and if you are active duty, your children have a guaranteed
place in the school. The DoDDS schools also take civilian or
contractors children on a space available basis and some have to pay
tuition depending on what is in your contract. There are schools on 4
different bases in the KMC (I believe) and it depends are where you
live as to which school your child will attend. The schools have
really good programs such as Spanish and German Immersion programs,
music, art, band, sports, and so on. I found out the other day that
the DoDDS schools do provide programs for children who are gifted,
exceptional, or who have disabilities. The Schools do provide bus
service for children who live off base.

Faith
Baptist School is a private school and it has grades k through
5th. They use the A Beka curriculum. They also have art, music, and
German class. It is located half way in between Ramstein AB and
Vogelweh. It is a really good school and they also have a Mother's
day out program (ages 6 weeks to preschool) that offers a preschool
curriculum for certain ages. There is a link to their web-site on my

AGAPE
Christian Academy is another private school in the area. They
accept children grades K4-12th. They also use the A Beka Curriculum.
Supplement to the curriculum, they offer a computer lab, music
program, and Host nation language. They also have a Master level
certified Special Education Teacher. This school is located in
Ramstein Village and is right outside of the west gate of Ramstein

Colleges
in the KMC. The schools that I am aware of are University of
Maryland, Emery Riddle, and University of Phoenix. There are also
on-line classes available. This is a great opportunity to go to
college if you haven't and want to. The military offers spouses
tuition assistance for the schools offered on base only.

German
Schools in the area are also an option. Some people choose to
send their children to the German schools. Please click here

The school system also has German Kindergarten starting at the age of
3. I have known several people to put their children in the
kindergarten and were very pleased. It is very inexpensive and your
child will be fluent in German in no time! Find the school in your

a
Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten that is located right outside
of the West gate of RAB on your way to Landstuhl. My son attended
